San Leone Society

The Società di M.S. San Leone was chartered in 1920 in Cleveland Ohio. It was constituted with the sole purpose being to promote the relationship of the citizens of Longi as members of one family.

Members of the Society can only consist of natives by birth from Longi, Sicily, marriage, their children and their descendants.

Since 1920, Society members have met monthly to continue to keep their Sicilian customs, values and traditions alive.

Even today, we still pray for San Leone's continued protection and guidance, which he has given not only to our ancestors, but to each member of the Society.

We honor him with two special masses, which correspond with his celebrations in Longi. At the present time, our members have achieved status in all walks of life - from the mason, electrician, teacher, government employee to attorney, with several in public life.
