A motion was made by Leo Zingale to accept the previous minutes as submitted, seconded by Donna Zingale. Motion passed. Officers for 2010 were sworn in. Judge Michael Russo administered the Oath of Office. MEMBERSHIP Leonard Russo reported that he received an application for membership from Thomas Cleary, son of Michael J and Nancy Galati Cleary. Len made a motion to accept his membership and Charles K. Russo seconded the motion. Len indicated that 35 members have not yet paid their dues and a second notice will go if they have not paid by the next meeting. So please submit your dues to Len asap. Thank you! TREASURER’S REPORT Paul DeLuca submitted financial reports for the periods ending Dec.31, 2009 and Jan. 31, 2010. Nothing to Report Christmas Party: Leo Zingale reported that 167 people attended our 2009 Christmas party. Thanks to all to joined us for that wonderful celebration. February Mass: The cost for our February mass in honor of San Leone was generously paid for by Antonino Fazio and the flowers were donated by????? 50/50 Winner: Joe Cipriano Jr. was the 50/50 raffle winner. Kathy Cipriano picked his number. Longi Calendars. Antonino Fazio distributed this year’s calendars to those who paid for them. 90th Anniversary Celebration: President Cipriano reported that plans for the 90th Anniversary celebration of our Society is underway. The celebration will be August 22nd at Birchwood Party Center. More information will be coming soon – so mark your calendars!! Eggs or Pasta: President Cipriano was asked to discuss the possibility of having a different meal at the May mass in honor of San Leone. The recommendation was for a pasta and meatball dinner instead of the usual breakfast. A decision will be coming soon! Officer Change: At the next meeting, Guy Papa will be stepping down as Recording Secretary and Eva Priolisi Rodgers will be accepting the position. Good luck and enjoy, Eva. Scholarship Raffle: Remember, the new 2010 scholarship raffle will begin in June. The January winner was Anthony J Russo, picked by Donna Zingale and the February winner was Attilio Russo, who was picked by Frank Skala. There was no further business.
